D-SCHOOL EXCERCISE
Through an exercise in Human Centered Design we learned the process of becoming more aware of our target audiences. We are learning how to dig deeper into the interview and thought process. As a class we used our skills to interview classmates about a situation in their lives. We had to dig and find a solution to make their problem easier to maneuver. Through this exercise we came to conclusions with prototypes made out of household items.
This exercise taught me how to think on my toes quickly while going in depth into my thinking process. I found it so interesting how surface level and general design can be more common than i realized. The exercise helped me delve into my complex design thinking. I learned that it takes many steps to find a path to a solution. The first solution however, is the step to something bigger. The process of making a physical prototype showed me where design starts and that is analog thinking.
